123.5

From Suzanne:

A new book meme circulating around the sphere is going by the name “123.5,”
and its rules are these:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the “coolest” book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.

How could man carving the first wheel
see the later labyrinths
of steel and brass wheels moving interlocked
in a spun fabric of wheels?

The instructions don't seem to require giving the name of the book. I'm at my desk at the library. The nearest book on my left is Isn't It Romantic: 100 Love Poems by Younger American Poets and the nearest on my right is The South Beach Diet: Good Fats Good Carbs Guide. Besides which I'm supposed to be working ...

Hi Glenn,
Thanks for stopping by on your chai break! I think the idea of not including the book title is to give other people a chance to guess at it. I wonder what's on page 123 of your South Beach book, a recipe?
Hope work is treating you well.
Best,
Amy
